NEW CLASS OFFERED- CONSTITUTIONAL CARRY SAFETY AND THE LAWS!
Teaching the proper techniques and care for handling firearms.
Teaching the proper techniques and care for handling firearms.
When I founded Adkins Training Institute, my vision was to provide excellent, personalized training to assist anyone interested in pistol shooting-to advance their skills, improve their competence and make their training experience more enjoyable. I strive to assist and coach anyone with their firearm training and move them forward with their goals (and help set goals if not established).
I continue to train and push my level of performance and I plan to always train and improve.
I offer small classes (from private lesson to small groups of 12 or less for CCW classes). Having been involved with many classes of more than 12 (up to 24 in a class) I know you cannot receive personalized attention if needed and that can easily lead to frustration- not only for the person needing additional assistance but for the rest of the class if they are more advanced. For CCW classes of more than 4 participants, there will be a second and/or third range safety officer or Instructor on duty while on the range and no more than 6 people will be at the firing line at a time so we can provide assistance as needed, and oversee the safety of all.

I also offer ladies only pistol training by a female instructor. Ladies sometimes experience challenges that men do not when participating in shooting sports. I can offer first-hand experience and make suggestions about how to overcome those obstacles that might arise.

Ohio passed the historic law that became effective June 13, 2022 that now allows any ELIGIBLE person in OH to carry concealed pistols without obtaining a permit. Although it is legal to carry a concealed pistol now without a permit, you are still obligated to follow all the laws pertaining to carrying a loaded, concealed pistol and to understand and follow all the laws governing the use of force with a deadly weapon.
We are offering a course that covers the laws pertaining to carrying concealed. You would not be eligible to obtain a permit to carry with this class as it would not meet the minimums required to get your certification to apply for a permit but it will educate you on the laws you need to understand when carrying a concealed pistol.
This is a non-shooting course.
Have you ever thought about volunteering at a shooting competition, working part-time at a gun range, or just want to understand more about firearm safety? This course is for you. You will learn about the operations of a range, how to safely manage shooters, malfunctions and emergencies.
Please contact Mary to set-up a class.
This is a non-shooting class.
SAFETY is always the main focus with all of my training. Sometimes experience leads to complacency and complacency leads to accidents (negligent discharges). I point out any breaks in the 4 basic gun safety rules to bring awareness to the participant and make it a teaching opportunity.
I also teach the mindset required to carry a firearm

I also teach the mindset required to carry a firearm and situational awareness when out in public areas.
Please contact Mary and set up a class- whether you have been shooting for a long time or you are just starting- having someone as a coach is never a bad thing.
